Conn Selmer Educational and Marching Arts Clinician
Mr. Marc Whitlock spent thirty years as a band director and school administrator. His prior appointments were at Marian Catholic High School in Illinois, Hebron High School in Texas, and Discovery Middle School and the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park in Michigan. His bands earned many distinctions, including the Mark of Excellence from the Foundation of Music Education, UIL Sweepstakes Awards, featured ensemble at the Music For All National Concert Band Festival, many state marching band championships, and three times was named the BOA Grand National Champions.
Mr. Whitlock was formerly the music manager for the Broadway production of Blast!, which won a Tony award and an Emmy award. He also served as the first Chief Judge for WGI Winds and currently serves as the Music Coordinator for the Cadets.
Mr. Whitlock started his company “On The Marc” to service the design, consultation, and educational needs of bands and to help band programs reach that next level of achievement.
