Conn Selmer Educational Clinician
As the Arts Coordinator for Atlanta Public Schools, Dr. Sara Womack is creating an arts-rich district by ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality arts education. Previously, she served as an elementary music teacher and adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Dr. Womack earned a BS and MA in music education and MA in leadership from UAB and an EdD in music education from the University of Georgia. She achieved National Board Certification, served as President of the Alabama Music Educators Association and Southern Division of the National Association for Music Education, and currently serves the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) as Advocacy Chair. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and Pianos for Peace. Her accolades include the GMEA Administrative Leadership Award, Georgia Art Education Association Administration Award, and Woodruff Arts Center Arts Education Honoree.
