Conn Selmer Educational and Marching Arts Clinician
Chris Grifa is the director of Bands at Clay Middle School in Carmel, Indiana. His bands consistently receive Gold Ratings at their state contest, while have also performed at the Indiana Music Educators Conference and The Midwest Clinic in 2013. Mr. Grifa has served as a clinician, guest conductor, and adjudicator for concert bands and marching bands across the country. He has presented sessions at numerous state music conferences including twice at the Midwest Clinic, the Conn-Selmer Institute, and the MFA summer symposium. He has authored a number of articles in The Instrumentalist magazine and has a book published by GIA. Mr. Grifa is on the music staff with the Carmel High School marching band. He was a marching member, brass staff member, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Cadets. Mr. Grifa received his bachelor’s degree in music education and from Old Dominion University and his master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Florida.
