Ben Still


Originally from Raleigh, NC, Ben Still is an active solo and chamber musician throughout the United States. Currently, he serves on the faculties of Lenoir-Rhyne University and UNC Charlotte and is an active performer and teacher throughout the greater Charlotte area. Ben is a founding member of the Mirasol Quartet and has been a prizewinner in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, The American Prize Competition, and ENKOR Competition. Additionally, he has presented clinics and performances at the International Saxophone Symposium, the Midwest Clinic, the North American Saxophone Alliance, and the College Music Society. Ben earned his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Music with honors from UNC Charlotte. His primary teachers include David Dees, Stephen Jones, Will Campbell, and Wayne Leechford. Ben is a Conn-Selmer Artist/Clinician and performs on Selmer Paris saxophones exclusively.
