Adam Hutcheson


Adam Hutcheson has been based in New York City since 2013, and has been privileged to share the bandstand with some of the most in-demand musicians on the music scene. He has performed in the NYC’s staple venues such as the Apollo Theater, 55 Bar, and as the house saxophonist at the Jazz at Kitano club. Adam earned his Bachelors and Master’s degrees in jazz studies from the University of North Texas, having in played lead alto in the One O’Clock Lab Band. He completed his studies under Brad Leali, Jim Riggs, and Eric Nestler. Adam currently serves as Lecturer of Saxophone at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where he teaches saxophone, coaches jazz small groups, and directs the Skidmore Big Band.
